The brief
Overview
A gypsum feature wall and matching coffered ceiling with concealed LED cove lighting, turning a plain rectangular room into the main reception space of the house.
The challenge
The room was a plain box with a single central light — no architecture to work with at all.
What we did
The coffered ceiling gives the room a centre and a hierarchy; the cove lighting washes the walls and makes the space feel considerably larger than its footprint.
