The brief
Overview
A steel staircase with toughened glass balustrades, set into a double-height living space where it was always going to be the first thing anyone saw.
The challenge
The staircase is the centrepiece of the room. Any visible weld, any wobble in a tread, would have been on permanent display.
What we did
The stringers were fabricated as a single welded assembly, ground flush and finished before delivery. Glass panels are held in a slot-fixed channel with no visible clamps.
